Structural Engineering Scholarship
Funding contribution by ARUP towards all four years of your honours degree in Structural Engineering (MT 831) at MTU (Cork campus).
Applications for 2023/24 academic year close on 22nd January 2024.
ARUP and MTU Cork are looking for a scholarship student with the following attributes
- A personal determination to apply her/his knowledge and skills in the creation, maintenance and operation of a sustainable infrastructure for the benefit of society
- An appreciation of the role of a structural engineer in the design, construction and operation of civil and structural engineering works
- The potential to be creative and innovative in the design and implementation of solutions to engineering challenges
- The interpersonal skills required to contribute to the optimal performance of multi-disciplinary teams and to ultimately lead such teams
- The personal qualities of integrity and attention to detail required to ensure the safe provision of structural engineering solutions for clients and for society
WHAT IS THE NATURE OF THE SCHOLARSHIP?
- A funding contribution of €2,250 by the ARUP Trust towards your education for each year of your 4 years studying the Honours Degree in Structural Engineering (MT831) at MTU (Cork campus).
- Opportunity (although no obligation) for work placement with ARUP
- No obligation (on either party) post-graduation
Application Process
- Interview (January/February)

Final awarding of scholarship will depend on interview performance, Leaving Certificate results and semester 1 performance.

- Academic interests
- Enthusiasm for the field of Structural Engineering
- Involvement and achievements in extracurricular activities
- Interpersonal and communication skills
